Class: Children’s Corner Tate
Date: February 10 -11 We will have class on the 10th from 9:30-4 and then use the 11th from 9:30-11:30 for anyone who needs extra help finishing. (Shop with Barbara on February 8, from 3:30-4:30)
Class Fee: $75
Tate is a double-breasted jacket or coat for boys and girls. View A is a preppy jacket with softly gathered skirt that covers the hip. View B works well for both boys and girls with its A-line design hitting at the mid-thigh and a box pleat in the back for additional comfort. The jacket is very versatile pattern and can be made with a multitude of fabrics. We will be making a spring coat that will be perfect for an early Easter. The coat is lined so you will learn that technique. The collar on the pattern is pointed, but we will learn how to re-draft a collar to make it go further around in the front and rounded should you want to change the look a little. The pattern sizes range from 6 months to 6 years and 7-14 years.
Items needed for class must be purchased from The Cotton Blossom (fabric, patterns, rulers, books, specialty thread, etc.) If you have basic sewing supplies and they are not listed below, please bring those (pins, scissors, seam ripper, needles, thread, etc.).
