Kira quilt

Kira is one of GE Designs favorite patterns. Using a layer cake, the blocks are sewn, sliced, and sewn again to create two designs at once . . . . a checkerboard background overlaid with a diagonal net. Learn how to square up blocks accurately with the Stripology Ruler and make all your units nest together.
Several options include:
24 lights plus 24 darks yields a graphic checkerboard
24 prints plus 1 ¾ yard background fabric yields a calmer look
