MASK KITS for VETERANS AND ELDERLY
As no doubt you have heard, there is a shortage of masks for healthcare workers. The CDC has recommended that not only healthcare workers, but everyone will need a mask. YES, everyone. There is an urgent need for masks with ELASTIC for our Veterans and Elderly. They have trouble tying the masks, and therefore need elastic. It has been in short supply until now!! We are DONATING FABRIC and elastic KITS for those willing to help sew for the cause!
**UPDATE** ALL KITS HAVE BEEN TAKEN- THANK YOU WHO PICKED UP - Please complete them and bring them back by May 18th, 2020.
We are donating the kits free of charge. We just ask that you bring the completed masks back to be donated to our Veterans (VA Medical Center), VA Nursing Home and St. Catherine's Village residents. Each kit includes enough fabric, elastic, a pattern and instructions to make 6 masks — all that is needed are your sewing skills and your generous heart. We will have the kits, in sealed plastic bags, on a table outside the store starting on May 7th for pickup.
1. Starting on Thursday, May 7th, We invite you to pick up kits at your convenience at our store from 12pm - 5pm Monday-Friday. Take as many or as few as you can complete by May 18th, 2020. Each kit makes SIX masks. To pre-reserve your kit(s), place THIS KIT in your cart along with your other purchases.
2. When you are finished, please wash and dry the masks and put them in a sealed plastic bag.
3. Deliver them to The Cotton Blossom by Monday, May 18th, 2020. You can drop off anytime during our pick-up store hours (Mon - Fri 12-5) and we will deliver them. Our doors are still closed, so all kit pick-up and drop-off will be out front.
