Dorothys Sky Mint

Like so many of us, I grew up looking forward to watching "The Wizard of Oz- on TV once a year

with my family.

VVhen I started designing this collection, I wanted to keep it as true to the original Frank

Baum story as I could. It was fun to learn Dorothy's shoes were actually silver, so I added silver

sparkle throughout the collection. The more I read, the more I wanted to portray Dorothy's

journey from Kansas, to Oz and back.

In addition to the characters we all love, I included poppies, winged monkeys, the infamous

yellow brick road as well as a fun panel with Baum's classic line, "There Is No Place Like Home."

VVhether you're in Kansas or elsewhere, I hope you'll enjoy creating with this nostalgic collection.
